Judging by his illustrations he has got some issues…however. They. Are. Ammmaazing and skill and fab and the hand drawn type is to die for. So get looking and lovin’ people.
The (Toronto) Star today published a cover story (Beyond Density) in their Condos section on the efforts in Mississauga to create a more vibrant and pedestrian-friendly downtown – key among the problems identified has been the large scale of the block patterns in Mississauga – to prove the point the article includes urban form/fabric drawings of 9 cities (one hopes at the same scales) in order to compare the scales of the fabric of the street network. I include the drawings below alphabetically (with Mississauga first).
Everyone is invited to take part in a collaborative animation with 1000s of people worldwide. Heres how it works :
1. 1000s of people hold blank frames
2. Universal Everything draws cell animation onto each frame
3. We all become part of an animation which crosses the globe
4. The process then continues with public submissions, creating an infinite global animation

Social music site Last.fm has launched what it describes as the world’s biggest free music service.
It is promising to pay unsigned artists royalties every time a user streams a track to their computer.
The website has done deals with the four major record companies as well as more than 150,000 independent labels to offer access to their catalogues.
Users will be able to listen to any track – streamed rather than downloaded – up to three times.
Last.fm taps the wisdom of the crowds, leveraging each user’s musical profile to make personalised recommendations, connect users who share similar tastes, provide custom radio streams, and much more.
An event has been organised, where Birmingham’s graffiti artists will explain the difference between graffiti art and graffiti tagging, and how they as artist can help reduce the level of nuisance graffiti tagging.
Date and time of the event: Thursday 31st January, 7pm to 9pm.
Venue: Moseley CDT, 149-153 Alcester Road, Moseley, Birmingham B13 8JP (entrance to the side of Moseley Post Office)
Event has been organised by Cllr Martin Mullaney, InACity Arts and AerosolArabic
Residents complain about graffiti blighting their neighbourhood, but if we want to tackle this issue we need to understand the modern origins of graffiti, why teenagers graffiti tag, and how we can harness that energy and creativity and move it into something more positive and legal, namely graffiti art.
This event will explain the modern origins of graffiti from the New York hip-hop scene (including the first recorded graffiti tagger Taki 183).
It will explain the difference between tagging/vandalism and the legal side of graffiti art.
This will be an opportunity to meet and talk to Birmingham based graffiti artists (both teenagers and older) who want to help reduce the level of tagging by providing ‘managed’ legal graffiti art zones. This will explain what a ‘managed’ graffiti art zone is, in contrast to an ‘unmanaged’ zones.
There will be two presentations:
a) by Birmingham based spiritual-graffiti artist Mohammed Ali – he is internationally renowned and fuses Islamic script with Urban graffiti art.
b) By artists from InACity Arts (Hoakser, Minkz and Mekz) – this is Birmingham’s first dedicated graffiti gallery. Hoakser in particular is held in high esteen amongst Birmingham’s graffiti art community.

Fujitsu just unveiled a few futuristic concept gadgets, the most interesting of which is probably a fabric laptop. Sure, there’s no word on just how they’ll make a computer that’s “soft, pliable, and can comfortably be carried like portfolio of paper,” but it sure is a neat idea. The other concepts are an electronic card viewer, a salesclerk browser, and a customer browser.

Day 3: TMS at CES in VEGAS.
ECO Jet engines
One of the quieter vehicles at the show was surprisingly one powered with a jet engine. Ironically this bio-diesel plane/car/thunderbirds prop is considered environmentally friendly. Although surely the afterburners can’t help global warming! Comedian Jay Leno is an avid petrol and now eco head, and he asked General Motors to design this one off piece and funded the $4 million project.
As the first production 11” OLED screens make it to the ones who can afford. Sony have been taunting those who can’t relent from the scale of Plasma and LCD with a prototype 27” screen at only 10mm thick. With 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, the future is no longer just bright, the future is also thin.
Throw away your mess of wires once known as “high tech” this is the new helmet cam.
Designed by the users themselves this fantastic SD card camcorder is all you will need to capture the most extreme moments in your life. Simple and robust this will inspire you to go further, higher and faster pushing you to the limit, and then playing it back for your pleasure. Check out the website for some of its fans…
This sweet little site answers the question everyone wants to know about if you just started digging where would you end up…
Day 2: TMS at CES in VEGAS.
Not another wind up?
Although previews have been floating around since the summer Eton’s collaboration with Porsche has given birth to the P-110 compact cast aluminium heavyweight. A wind up radio, with a serious arsenal of tricks and tools. This cranked up eco beauty was solid the touch and will look after your radio, lighting and charging needs in the remotest of locations. (and Vegas)
$250.00 in the US from Feb, not sure when it will reach Europe
Don’t Think. Feel.
“Its like a finger pointing to the moon” wise words from the legend Bruce Lee. It appears these Swedish technologists, Neonode have taken this tactile remark and created a brand new user interface for their impressive mobile phones. Sweeping and tapping the screen leads you through the menus, while haptic feedback keeps you on track. All of this and everything else you will expect from a 21st century communication device.
Packs more power than Bruce’s famed one inch punch…
I think we like it, yah?
Built NY have updated their colourful range of neoprene carriers to include this slick laptop shoulder bag, the simple understated range of products maintains its leadership against the many copycat competitors. fashion and functionality, fashionality? who would have thought neoprene could be so sexy…
Transformer… Keyboard in disguise.
Moscow based Art. Lebedev’s Optimus Maximus Keyboard is as grand as it sounds… one and half grand to be precise…
Imagine paying $1500 for a keyboard? But at least you get an amazing piece of kit, and if you so desire and get the urge you can change the keys functionality and appearance to orientation you like. Individual OLED keys can be customised to cover shortcuts to your email, favourites and to your bank accounts (which if you have this much cash to spare you will probably go to regularly!)
Adding some colour to the Microsoft stand were the artworks for the ‘originals’ range for the Zune mp3 player. An online ordering process allows you to customise your Zune with some standard tattoos, or the fantastic artist designs. All the artist bio’s are on the web with a great selection of colours. Good things don’t just come in black and white.
80’s revival continues…
Lasonic have spawned a beauty! Somewhere between California and Taiwan this retro BoomBox has been discovered.
If you would rather still be breaking in the eighties, but can’t find the tapes to play in your ghetto blaster then this ipod dock packs more nostalgia than can be safely recommended! No ideas as to when it will be available to the general public, but when it does, its going to be fun!
It might leave you smelling like a class room full of 13 year olds but at least they’re helping us boys to get some…kind of. Err thanks Lynx.
get rid of them with this little beauty introduced to me by me mate from the west country…
Get scrumping kids <3

If people have been having trouble accessing all of our web content I appologise. Our web hosting people are looking into the downtime and also why the site can be slow at times. Cheers
Some boys from our bigger brother office (TMS London) have trekked over to Vegas. And in between gambling, burlesque shows and riding the stratosphere they managed to make a trip to the Consumer Electronics Show.
