Armed America

Armed America

Aaron: My parents taught me to shoot, growing up in Utah. I got a gun here because we live in kind of a rough neighborhood and I take the subway home from work. I figured that since the bad-guys had guns, I should have one too.

Brittny: After practicing together and getting better, target shooting turned into a fun hobby that we could share.

How do you like your eggs in the mornin? I like mine with a kiss!

all-in-one-breakfast.jpg

Now unfortunately, this sweet piece of kit can’t give you a kiss in the morning, but you can give it a kiss yourself, as a thank you for cooking your entire breakfast in 4 mintues flat! That’s a poached egg, toasted muffins and bacon (albeit just warming it up) all in one glorious go, deeeeeeeelightful! It’s simply called the ‘Egg and Muffin Toaster’ at the moment, but I think they’re playing down this magic machine. This baby’s gonna go far!

BOOBS & DINKS Early Detection Kits

The crocheted breasts and penises in my BOOBS & DINKS Early Detection Kits contain small lumps that can be found by following instructions provided in the accompanying booklets. The booklets take you through all the necessary steps for performing monthly self-examinations of your own breasts or testicles. The softness and humour of these BOOBS & DINKS aims to eliminate some of the fear surrounding the monthly self-exam of our own precious privates. Your bathing suit area is precious!

$5 from the sale of each BOOB or DINK is donated to Cottage Dreams, a cancer recovery initiative in Haliburton, Ontario.

BIG, BOLD AND BRAVE…

Believe it or not, this is the winning design for the new Czech National Library. Selected from over 350 architect submissions, it’s going to sit loud and proud right bang in the middle of historic Prague. Holding 10 million books 15m underground, it’s even got an automated retrieval sysytem to get your hands on the book your looking for within minutes. Love it or loath it, it’s bound to spark some serious debate…

Jeffrey Milstein

Taken from the biography section –

“In this portfolio I explore a typology of the varied cruciform shapes of jet aircraft flying precisely overhead as if frozen in space. I have decontextualized these highly detailed photographs to express the complexity and beauty of form. That these giant conglomerations of aluminum, can gracefully lift from earth is amazing. That they can return safely some hours later on another part of the globe is even more amazing. My aircraft photograph.”

Tap Projct (USA)

Tap Project

It’s our single most bountiful resource. Yet, water is a daily privilege millions take for granted. The little known truth is that lack of clean and accessible drinking water is the second largest worldwide killer of children under five.

To address this situation, a nationwide effort is launching during World Water Week called the Tap Project, a campaign that celebrates the clean and accessible tap water available as an every day privilege to millions, while helping UNICEF provide safe drinking water to children around the world.

The Tap Project.

Beginning Sunday, March 16 through Saturday, March 22, restaurants will invite their customers to donate a minimum of $1 for the tap water they would normally get for free. For every dollar raised, a child will have clean drinking water for 40 days.

As the world’s leading children’s organization, UNICEF understands the critical role water plays in a child’s survival.

Your drawing stinks…mmm!

smencil1.png

Don’t kill trees for your pencil needs, just recycle yesterday’s news and start writing your own. And even if you have nothing good to say, at least it’ll smell gooooooood! The aptly named, Smencils, offers your nasal passages 10 weird and wonderful ‘gourmet’ scents, which may or may not to be to your tastes. But even if the smell offends you, just saying the word smencil is entertaining.

Bo! it’s Bosozoku!

zenyasai16.jpg

21314.jpg

tossy3.jpg

The Bosozoku have been around since the 50s and are traditionally a very anti social motorbike gang. They ride unmuffled bikes, with radically visible modifications, usually in a reckless way around city streets in large groups which usually have a uniform. The cars came along later but have been around since at least the 70’s, they are similarly loud, very visible and anti social. The style of bosozoku cars varies wildly but they will usually have bright paint, radical body kits and preposterous exhausts.

When the crowd say ‘BO!’ Selecta!

Diesel ‘Liquid Space’ Holographic Fashion Show

Diesel Liquid Space

While regular human models paced up and down the runway, a host of polyp-like CGI characters appeared in mid-air to interact with them within an underwater landscape. And in a unique twist, these animated holograms were entirely viewable from both sides of the stage.
