The P&G’s brand Old Spice has launched a hilarious campaign, promoting its new deodorants body wash for men. Surprisingly enough, it is targeting women rather than male consumers. The campaign was developed by Wieden + Kennedy

Google Buzz… new Facebook?

Google is launching a new service to compete with Facebook and MySpace. Yesterday the the world’s No. 1 search engine introduced Google Buzz which allows the loyal Google fans to share information (text messages, videos, photos, and links) with their friends or the whole world via instant messages with links and photos.

The new module, displaying a steam of updates from selected g-mail users, functionally resembles the social network feed. The new tab is going to appear in the left box on the mail page. Buzz can be run on mobile phones and be connected with Twitter, Picasa, Google Reader and Flikr, so that you won’t miss the important updates.

Pret A ‘New Can’…

International café chain Pret A Manger has launched a rejuvenated look for its range of Pure Pret sparkling fresh juices using Pictoris high quality print technology.

The new Pure Pret cans feature detailed typography and stunning images of Pret A Manger’s iconic food-based characters, such as a goldfish cleverly formed by parts of an orange. The detailed graphics realistically emulate the textures of the fruits used in the juices to communicate flavors, which include Sparkling Orange, Apple, Elderflower & Grape, Ginger Beer and Yoga Bunny Detox. To produce these detailed graphics, Pictoris high quality print makes use of proprietary separation techniques and special and high resolution printing plates.

Peugeot Rebrand…

The rebrand is dedicated to the 150-th anniversary of the brand’s iconic lion in the logo. Last week the Peugeot introduced a line of new concept cars as well as a new look of its feline emblem along with a new tagline: “Motion & Emotion”.

Milky, milky..


“The KIAN brand agency took on the process of naming, formulating a creative brand conception, and creating the package shape. Soy milk “Soy mamelle” is a 100% vegetative product. It is a source of high grade fiber and calcium, containing no cholesterol and a proven ability to actually lower cholesterol levels in the human body.

The developed conception of the package shape resembled an udder, which presents the first half of the message in that soy milk is identical to that of a cow. The second part of the message is delivered via the colour score and décor of the packaging, which concentrate on the phytogenesis of the product, creating an image of nature and health.”

McFancy & McMobile by Coolhunter


In 2010, The Cool Hunter will launch Access Agency. It is a dedicated entity that will continue our work of creating highly original, transformational, yet eminently practical and results-oriented strategies for companies to stage the kinds of offline brand experiences that will increase the economic value of their offering.

“Access is hard at work creating ideas and concepts for some high profile brands. For McDonald’s, we envision a cool, surprising and fun mix of concepts. First is McFancy, an upmarket temporary McDonald’s store that launches at Fashion Weeks around the globe — London, New York, Paris, Milan, Sydney, Hong Kong. McFancy is part art installation, gathering spot and, of course, a restaurant that offers a traditional McDonald’s menu but packaged in a way that makes a playful yet stylish nod to the lifestyle of the highly desirable, influential consumers that attend Fashion Weeks.”

“Waiters in tuxedos, silver service, private dining areas, and packaging co-created with the fashion brands that present at Fashion Week — Burberry burgers, Chanel fries on black packaging, Paul Smith Sundaes…A bit of fun among the serious business of fashion. A bite of comfort food among all the elaborate cocktail fare, Private dining rooms, a raised catwalk that winds around the perimeter of the space, and with a central bar area providing a dramatic focal point. The ceiling is constructed from stretched fabric, ribbed to provide articulation and define zones. The form of the ceiling is accentuated through the use of LED lighting”

“We believe that McDonald’s can have major presence at events like NY Fashion Week, movie premiers and other high-profile events by creating a space to fit that environment.”

“Collaborating with Friends With You in Miami, who envisioned for McDonald’s a mobile McFun Cart or McMobile. In the friendly tradition of ice-cream trucks, the highly visible McMobile brightens up the day at large sporting events, concerts, street festivals and any other events where large crowds are present — and hungry! For people waiting in long line-ups at such events, McMobile would be not only a welcome distraction, but a truly welcome chance to get something to eat that they would want to eat anyway.”

McFancy/McMobile will be unveiled in 2010. This is just one of many concepts that Access Agency will be launching in 2010.

iPad… hit or miss?

There’s been a lot of hype around Apple’s latest release the iPad, but will it live up to expectations?.. only time will decide. Supposedly bridging the gap between smartphones and netbooks, I believe the iPad could have been so much more than a n oversized iPhone with a few extra features… I think everyone (myself included) was rather hoping for a downsized iMac with OSX software, multifunctioning apps and a webcam. Oh well.. hopefully the next generation iPads will have these. I’m sure the iPad will find it’s audience and will be a hit and I personally think its great, but not great enough yet to warrant buying one
